In this video tutorial, we will work through the complete edit of the photograph “Sea of Clouds”.

This photograph was taken near Rifugio Locatelli in the Tre Cime di Lavaredo Natural Park in the Italian Dolomites.

In this edit, we will transform a grey, colourless day into a beautiful sunset, using contrasts between warm and cool colours to create a much more compelling image.

What you will learn

Stitching panoramas in Photoshop’s Camera Raw.
Developing the DNG file generated by stitching the panorama.
Adding realistic bursts of light.
Using dodge and burn to create selective contrast.

Managing, balancing and enhancing colour to create distinctive atmospheres.
Enhancing detail across the image and in selected areas.
Adjusting brightness, colour and detail in selected areas.
Applying the Orton effect.
Final adjustments and export for the web.
