\t\t\t\tToday I am delighted to announce that I have been commended in the Panoramic category of the Sony World Photography Awards 2016<\/strong>, the world\u2019s largest photography awards.<\/p>\n

When I received the organisers\u2019 email, I could hardly believe they had chosen my photograph as one of the 50 best in the category from 95,541 photographs by entrants from 186 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I entered just to give it a try, with no expectation of achieving anything in such a large competition with photographers of the highest calibre. It was also my first time entering anything like this, as I was a beginner who had been taking photographs for less than a year.<\/p>\n

However, the judges must have seen something in the photograph to choose it alongside truly remarkable images of an outstanding standard:<\/p>\n
